YouTube is chock full of thousands of wannabes trying their hand at their favorite songs, but none may steal the community’s collective heart like this video from father-daughter duo Jorge and Alexa Narvaez.
Video: Little Girl Covers Edward Sharpe’s “Home”
Armed with only a guitar (and what sound to be pre-recorded whistles), the Narvaez duo tackled “Home,” 2010’s smash hit/commercial juggernaut from Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. They not only turned it into a touching acoustic ballad, but created a familial meaning to the song for fathers and daughters everywhere.
The best part? During one of the song’s multiple whistle-infused interludes, young Alexa turns to her daddy. “One day I’m gonna whistle?” she asks hopefully.
Say it with us now: awwwwww! Cute overload.
