
After U2 teamed with Irish director Aoife McArdle and the Creators Project earlier this month on a short film set in the violent post-punk 1980s Northern Ireland, the iconic Dublin-formed rock band has now condensed the 13-minute Every Breaking Wave to a music video fitting their song by the same title.

In the video, a Catholic boy falls in love with a Protestant girl at a punk show and the two begin a love affair set amongst the violent turbulence of 1980s Northern Ireland. But the bliss of love is interrupted by the dramatic realities of the world in which they live.
