The Los Angeles producer (born Sonny Moore), who recently landed at No. 5 on Billboard’s Top 30 EDM Power Players list, sat down with Couric to talk about his ambitions, his career thus far and the scene which has made him rich and famous.

During their chat, Skrillex, who is widely regarded as one of the architech’s of dubstep’s explosion, welcomed the veteran journalist (she’s currently employed by Yahoo) into his studio and encouraged her to lay down some guest vocals.
