Lin-Manuel Miranda gave a special performance for parents and children during a Families Belong Together rally in Washington, D.C., on Saturday (June 30).
Wearing a white T-shirt with the Puerto Rican flag, the Hamilton creator dedicated the touching lullaby to immigrant parents who have been separated from their children at the U.S. border in recent weeks. Watch below.
“This is for those parents and we’re not going to stop until they can sing them to their kids again,” he told the crowd.
Miranda is one of many celebrities attending Families Belong Together marches and rallies around the country. Music acts like John Legend, Selena Gomez, and Alicia Keys have also been speaking out against the current administration’s immigration policies.
