The 32-year-old American Idol alum (and new mom) delivered the gospel-tinged cover during a concert in Buffalo, N.Y., on Saturday (Oct. 25), just days before the release of Swift’s new album, 1989, on Monday.

“This is a church song, this is a soulful song,” Clarkson said. “This is one of my favorite songs out right now.”
