J-pop R&B singer-songwriter Shota Shimizu dropped a digital single called “Breathe Again” and the accompanying music video Wednesday (Aug. 21).
The visuals for the mid-tempo EDM-pop number was shot in smartphone-friendly vertical format with a high-speed camera.
Each shot took only 7 seconds to shoot, and the fluorescent video captures a series of fun-filled moments at a poolside party in super slow motion. Watch below:
Shimizu can be seen popping open a bottle of bubbly around the one minute mark, and the camera also captures the star-studded cameos in the video as it scrolls non-stop towards the right, including singer Thelma Aoyama, To-i Tachibana of DISH//, breakout comedians Rintaro & Kanechika (EXIT), Anthony (Matenrou), and many more.
“Breathe Again” is one of the official songs for TikTok’s “#OwaranaideNatsu (“Don’t end, summer”) Challenge,” launching next Wednesday (Aug. 28).
