Japanese singer-songwriter Mari Hamada is set to release a greatest hits album spanning her 35-year career featuring a selection of songs chosen by fans.
The pioneering female rock vocalist recently shared a teaser promoting the project, a montage of clips from past music videos and live footage of her well-known hits, as well as her most recent performance.
Light For The Ages – 35th Anniversary Best – Fan & Selection is Hamada’s first request-based greatest hits collection: Fans were asked to choose three of their favorites from her vast catalog.
It will include songs selected from all of her singles and albums beginning from her debut album, Lunatic Doll, released in 1983, up to her latest offering from last summer, Gracia.
The limited first edition will come with a 40-page photo book, which takes a visual trip down memory lane with a selection of shots from her prolific musical career up to her most recent portrait.
Mari Hamada also announced a solo-headlining concert April 19 at the Nippon Budokan.
