Japanese rocker Hiroji Miyamoto shared some live footage from the DVDs included in the limited first editions of his first solo album called Miyamoto, Doppo., which roughly means “Miyamoto walks alone.”
The Elephant Kashimashi frontman’s first solo project dropped in March, with two limited first editions for fans to choose from. The “612 Birthday Live at Liquidroom” version came with a DVD that contained the full, uncut recording of his first-ever headlining solo show that took place last year on his birthday, June 12, at Ebisu Liquidroom.
The disc also included rehearsal scenes and interviews, plus backstage footage from the day of the show, documented by visual artist Tomokazu Yamada. From this DVD, Miyamoto shared his performance of “Tokihanate, wareraga shinjidai” (“Unleash our new era,” in English).
The “2019 Live Best” version contained select audio and visual recordings from the veteran artist’s numerous solo performances from last year.
Miyamoto has released two songs from this DVD: his performance of “Fuyu no hana” (“Winter flower”) from his Korogaru, shi (“Rolling poetry”) concert in August, and “Do you remember?” from the year-end Countdown Japan music festival.
