Viewers of last night’s season premiere of “American Idol” are undoubtedly talking Yoji “Pop” Asano, the contestant claiming to have been impersonating Michael Jackson since he was in his mother’s womb.
In an odd twist of fate, Asano didn’t actually perform a King of Pop tune, instead electing for Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA.” Shocker — he did not make it to the next round.
Still, Yoji’s audition did hint a bit at his ability to impersonate Jackson — at least in the dancing department. In the wake of his audition, YouTube videos of Asano have surfaced — like this one, uploaded in June 2008.

‘American Idol’ Premiere: Top 5 Auditions,
The video, shot in Osaka, Japan, finds Yoji dancing along to Jackson’s “Dangerous” with a few friends. Though the room is dim, you can still make out his moves.
Dare we say it, for what he lacks in the singing department, he totally makes up for in the dancing department.
