Florence + the Machine treated a London audience to several teases from the upcoming June album release, How Big How Blue How Beautiful, on Wednesday.
According to NME, Florence Welch took the stage at Tufnell Park Dome in London on March 4. The set included the forthcoming album’s title track, as well as new cuts including “St Jude,” “Third Eye” and the current single “What Kind Of Man.”
NME further reports that Welch opened up about recording the album’s title track during the performance. “This next song was recorded in LA on that day I got you [pointing to collaborator Isabella Summers] that outfit and we dressed up as Prince,” she said during the set. “It was the first song that was written for How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful and it means a lot to me. It’s incredible to be able to play it for you for the first time.”
How Big How Blue How Beautiful is slated for release on June 2. It’s the follow-up to 2011’s Ceremonials.
