Diplo sure knows how to make an entrance.
Ahead of the 144th Preakness Stakes horse races at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore on Saturday (May 18), the DJ/producer made a grand entrance for his headlining set at InFieldFest by parachuting onto the racetrack from a Cessna Caravan.
“We got out of the plane at 8,500 feet,” Larry Compton of Team Fastrax told the Baltimore Sun.
Diplo arrived just after the U.S. Navy’s parachute team, the Leap Frogs.
Other performers at 11th annual festival, which is be held amid Preakness Stakes, included co-headliners Kygo and Logic, along with sets by Juice WRLD, Fisher and DJ Frank Walker.
The 2019 race also featured Vanessa Williams, who sang the National Anthem; Robin Thicke; Queer Eye fashion expert Carson Kressley, and many others.
