During his visit with Fallon, Horovitz not only previewed a clip of him co-starring alongside Ben Stiller in the new movie, but also touched on the Beastie Boys opening for Madonna in 1985. Watch below.
“We played the first couple shows and they hated us,” Horovitz recalled of The Virgin Tour, adding that Madonna fought to keep the Beastie Boys on the bill. “She realized that [the audience] hated us so much, that by the time she got on stage, it was the greatest thing ever.”
Later in the segment, Fallon welcomed Jeremy Wade, the host of the Animal Planet series River Monsters, who brought on a number of strange fish to discuss on the program. When Fallon asked Horovitz if he wanted a turn touching one, the Beastie Boy quickly replied, “Nah, I’m good.”
