Not only is Wiz Khalifa‘s Steelers anthem “Black and Yellow” climbing Billboard’s Hot 100 chart with a ranking at No. 7 this week, but the song is also getting a lot of viral attention through remakes.
Wiz Khalifa: ‘Black & Yellow’ is ‘Just a Set-Up’ for Bigger Singles
From Northwestern battle rhymes spit by Tom Hanks’ son to Willow Smith wannabes, variations of “Black and Yellow” have flooded the ‘Net this past week. There are a lot of colors out there for imitators to choose from, so this trend has the potential to get real annoying, real fast.
Video: Chet Haze, “White and Purple”
This is the first track to hit the ‘Net from Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s son Chet, a Northwestern student and aspiring rapper who goes by the name of “Chet Haze.” And yes, that was him in the “Bratz” movie, in case you were wondering.
Video: Lyrikkal, “Pink and Purple”
Reminiscent of Willow Smith, yes, but totally adorable. If “tween princess rap” breaks in 2011, Lyrikkal is to thank (or blame).
Video: J-Byrd, “Green and Yellow”
We’re going to bet Pittsburgh native Wiz would disagree with this young rapper when it comes to his team affinity, but J-Byrd’s dedication to the Green Bay Packers is cute, you know?
Video: Vinny Guadagnino from “Jersey Shore,” “Black and Guido”
As we noted upon its release last week, “Jersey Shore” co-star Vinny raps about his ideal woman (“I met a black girl, her booty big”) and dances like the goofball we know him to be in this homemade clip. If Vinny puts the song on iTunes, as many YouTube commenters on the clip have already suggested, he’ll surely bring in even more dough than he reportedly makes for his “Jersey Shore” hi-jinks.

And, of course, the original.
