Warner Music U.K. has promoted Raoul Chatterjee to the position of SVP, commercial.
Chatterjee will report to Christian Tattersfield, CEO Warner Music U.K. and chairman, Warner Bros Records U.K. He replaces Alan Young, who left the company in December.
Chatterjee, previously director, commercial innovation will take responsibility for all aspects of commercial strategy and operations. He began his career at Warner Music U.K., where he served for eight years in the commercial team. He was subsequently director of sales at Ministry of Sound, before becoming managing director of Trinity Street Direct. He returned to Warner Music in early 2009.
“Raoul’s understanding of today’s commercial landscape is second to none and the breadth of his experience gives him a unique perspective on how to develop products and shape retail experiences that appeal to music fans,” said Tattersfield in a statement. “Raoul is an exceptionally original thinker with a keen sense of the business opportunities open to us and I believe he will provide very strong leadership for the commercial team.”
