Warner Home Video is launching a yearlong promotion celebrating 50 years of Warner Bros. Television. The campaign, “50 Years of Quality Television,” will include DVD releases of more than 30 TV series during four promotional waves throughout 2005.
The first releases, hitting retail Feb. 8, will include the complete first seasons of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Full House,” “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “Murphy Brown,” “Night Court” and “The Wayans Bros.” Consumers who purchase any of the titles can receive discounts for subsequent releases from the campaign.
Other releases will come in June, September and November.
In addition to retail promotions, WHV is working with AOL to create interactive content and clips relating to the releases. WBTV will be planning special programming blocks tied to the releases, including an all-day marathon featuring key shows.
Further, WHV is partnering with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to cross-promote a new “Scene-It” trivia game linked to WBTV’s anniversary.
