
The Warner Music Group is making a change in the reporting structure for one part of the company, while moving another veteran executive into a new top infrastructure position.
Stu Bergen, WMG’s International Recorded Music president, who also oversees global marketing, the Alternative Distribution Alliance, and Classics, will now also oversee WEA Corp. In another move, Mike Jbara, who had been president of ADA, is assuming the newly-created position of executive vp of WMG technology & business processes. Jbara’s new “responsibilities will include developing solutions, systems, and procedures that serve the creative and commercial needs of our employees, artists, and business partners,” Cooper said in the memo. “Mike’s two decades of operational experience at WMG, his engineering background, and his love of music all make him the ideal choice to lead our technological evolution and strengthen our global infrastructure.”
