Before the players start to brawl and before a huge celebrity superstar takes the stage for the halftime show, a very important performance takes place for all to hear at the Super Bowl — the singing of the National Anthem.
“The Star-Spangled Banner” has been performed every Super Bowl but one, and is a staple in football history. Earlier Monday (Jan. 8) it was announced the singer P!nk will be taking the stage at this years Super Bowl to take on the prestigious honor when Super Bowl LII takes place at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Feb. 4.
