Vivendi Visual Entertainment (VVE), a division of Universal Music Group Distribution, has entered into a multi-year, multi-film distribution agreement with RuffNation Films Releasing (RFR) to market and distribute its upcoming slate of home entertainment product that includes cutting edge urban, youth, and music-oriented films. Under the terms of the deal, RFR will deliver a minimum of five releases per year.
The first film, “Money, Power, Respect,” an urban drama set in Philadelphia and directed by Jamal Hill, was released July 4. The next release, due in November, is the documentary, “Death Before Dishonor” which explores the consequences of “snitching.” The film features numerous hip-hop artists.
