Virgin Digital has relaunched an expanded and updated online music subscription service, called Red Pass. The new service now supports portable subscription and is charging $7.99 a month for both fixed and portable subscriptions.
Red Pass also includes updated search, navigation and music recommendation features. In an attempt to quell a common concern over subscription services, Virgin is promising to replace all songs purchased or downloaded from the store should users lose their files due to theft or technical failure.
Virgin says it will begin promoting the Red Pass service in Virgin Megastores as well as TV and outdoor spot ads in the coming months.
