John Mayer‘s performance of “Gravity” at a Nashville show Wednesday night carried some hefty emotional baggage, as the singer apologized to fans for his now infamous Playboy interview. Of his band members (five of which are African American), Mayer said, “They’re not on this stage because they support what I say.
