Victory Records has extended its relationship with Sony Music Entertainment by adding Sony Canada, after beginning its relationship with RED in the U.S. in August 1995. The change comes after being distributed by Universal Canada for seven years, according to Victory Records leader Tony Brummel. “Universal Canada president and CEO Randy [Lennox] and Universal Canada were fantastic partners,” Brummel said in a statement, before expressing displeasure with Universal in the U.S., which was the impetus for the change to Sony Canada.

“Tony has built a unique fully-integrated record label with an impressive artist roster,” Sony Music Entertainment Canada GM Steve Kanellakis said in a statement. “RED U.S. has a long-standing relationship with Victory Records and we are very pleased to become their home in Canada, extending distribution throughout North America.”
The news comes on the heels of Victory’s publishing company, Another Victory Inc., striking deals with with two international publishers, Musou Lt.d Music Publishing in Greece and Cyprus, and CTM in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
