Yohe returns from a top 10 debut with a sophomore effort that should firmly cement her place in the upper echelons of both the gospel and contemporary Christian markets. As huge in voice as she is petite in stature, Yohe can let it rip with the best on explosive anthems (“Deliverance Is Available to You”) and majestic mid-tempo gems (“Here in This House”), while just as readily downshifting into perfect readings of delicately nuanced ballads (“I Simply Love You”).
“I’ll Run to You” is sweet and soulful inspirational pop, while the lushly orchestrated “In the Presence of Jehovah” shows Yohe moving from a whisper to a roar. The title cut, a Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir standard, receives new life in Yohe’s confident hands, and a lengthy reprise of the album-opening “I’ll Run to Him” is the perfect, reverential coda to a truly broad, diverse offering.
