Live Nation has elevated David Vickers to senior VP, international venue development.
Vickers has served as division manager since 2002, a role which saw him tasked with overseeing the live music giant’s U.K. music venues, which include the Cardiff International Arena, Sheffield Arena and Hammersmith Apollo.
A 10-year company veteran, the London-based executive is credited with playing a key role in the sale of Donington Park, and in Live Nation’s appointment as manager of Wembley Arena. Most recently, he was a central figure in a deal with Cosmedia Group which enables Live Nation to expand into China.
“David’s appointment to this new role is am important step in Live Nation’s venue expansion plans in both new and existing territories,” comments Alan Ridgeway, CEO International, in a statement. “His expertise and knowledge of the operation of music venues will be invaluable as we look at venue opportunities across international markets.”
