VH1 has promoted Leah Horwitz to VP of music talent and creative development. Based in Los Angeles, Horwitz will report to VH1 executive VP of talent and music programming Rick Krim, and VH1 executive VP of production and programming Jeff Olde.
In her new role, Horwitz will oversee the music booking and coordination of all West Coast pilots, series, specials and events. She will also be responsible for aligning talent with programming ideas. In her most recent role as senior director of music and talent relations, Horwitz was instrumental in attaching singer Bret Michaels to the TV show “Rock Of Love.”
Prior to senior director, Horwitz was director of music and talent relations at VH1, where she oversaw music talent for such television programs as “Flavor Of Love,” “Behind the Music,” Celebrity Fit Club,” “Surreal Life,” “I Love the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s,” and “Rock Honors.”
Horwitz has also enjoyed stints in the media relations departments at BMG’s Zoo Entertainment and Epic Records.
