Nashville publishing and A&R veteran Clay Owen Bradley has joined BMI as assistant VP of writer/publisher relations. He was most recently senior director of A&R for Sony BMG Nashville, where he worked for the last five years.
The new position represents a homecoming for Bradley, who began his career at BMI in 1991 immediately after college. He also served at Acuff Rose Music Publishing and spent two years as VP of A&R for MCA Nashville.
“Clay is one of Nashville’s most loved and respected music industry figures,” said Jody Williams, VP of writer/publisher relations for BMI in Nashville in a statement. “With his experience as a publisher and record company executive, he will provide BMI writers and publishers with invaluable insight and assistance. He started his career here at BMI, and we are thrilled to welcome him back home.”
