Singer-actor Usher Raymond has signed with WME in all areas. He was previously represented by CAA.
The seven-time Grammy winner’s self-titled debut came out in 1994 and he has released six albums since then, including two in 2010: Raymond v. Raymond and the nine-track EP “Versus.”
Raymond v. Raymond was the singer’s third consecutive effort to debut at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and its third single, “OMG,” went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album won this year’s Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album; he also took home the Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for the song “There Goes My Baby.”
His previous No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 songs include “Love In This Club,” “Yeah!” and “U Remind Me,” among others.
Raymond’s film credits include Lionsgate’s “Killers” (2010), “She’s All That” (1999) and “The Faculty” (1998). His television credits include “Moesha” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
The singer, who is set to embark on a North American tour that will bring him to Los Angeles on June 1, has also become a mentor to teen signing sensation Justin Bieber.
In 2008, Raymond signed Bieber to Raymond-Braun Media Group, the management and production company he co-owns with Scott “Scooter” Braun, and the two R&B singers have collaborated musically.
