L.A. folk-pop partners Us the Duo share a timely gift with the music video for “Feels Like Christmas,” which Billboard exclusively premieres.
In the new clip, the husband and wife duo of Michael and Carissa Rae Alvarado take a stroll at the beach on what appears to be a chilly Christmas day. They’re kept warm by some loud Christmas sweaters and the joy of relaxing with friends. “It doesn’t matter if it’s warm outside/I can still feel the winter’s cold/It doesn’t matter if the ground is dry/I can fix you white powder snow/Even as the palm trees sway/I can smell the scent of pine/With a little spirit and imagination it feels like Christmas,” Michael sings.
The festive song is a reminder that Christmas is a special time regardless of whether it’s snowing outside. It’s a call-out to keep the spirit alive wherever you are.
“Christmas isn’t just a holiday… it’s that happy, child-like feeling you get when you put up decorations, listen to Christmas music, and celebrate with people you care about,” the former Vine phenom tells Billboard. “Feels Like Christmas” is “our way of saying that no matter where you are, or what the temperature is outside, it can still feel like Christmas.”
