The 2020 election marathon has a few laps to go.
The millions who stayed up late for the results on Tuesday night (Nov. 3) were left disappointed, as votes were counted well into the small hours of Wednesday morning.
The race is a tight one. Pundits say a result wouldn’t be revealed until later in the week as a historic amount of absentee and mail-in ballots for several states are tallied (despite President Trump’s claims that the election is “a major fraud on our nation”).
While the world awaits a winner, musicians and celebrities weighed in on a nerve-racking night. John Legend, Halsey, Richard Marx and many others shared their thoughts on social media.

Kind of terribly sad how close this election was. After this year and especially this summer it should’ve been a landslide. I don’t get it. Truly.

Trump might claim that he won. If he does that, please remind yourself and others that politicians can say anything they want. It doesn't make it true. #CountEveryVote #EveryVoteCounts

While we’re disappointed about some losses, when you look at the votes left to be counted you see that we’ll likely win back PA, WI, and MI and even pickup one or two states like GA and AZ. This would end Trump’s presidency and remake the electoral map. Keep hopes high!

Trump still talking to the American public like a wheezy old paedophille with a bag of candy chatting to children outside the gates of a school

Counting the votes is not stealing the election. Counting the votes is the POINT OF HAVING AN ELECTION.

This "speech" is just a random airing of grievances. Happy Festivus

I had a feeling he was going to do something like that but I can’t believe he did 🤯

Ohhh so now we’re cool with calling him an authoritarian? It wasn’t the deployment of tanks and riot teams, the condoning of white supremacy, the denial of state authority, the delegitimization of oppositional media? It was this…?
— h (@halsey) November 4, 2020
ah yes this is fraud but it’s okay to “go to the Supreme Court” and demand the rejection of remaining uncounted votes.
