Universal Motown Records Group has appointed Larry Baach VP of new media and digital strategies. He was a director of strategic label services, New York, in Universal Music Group’s information technology and artist division.
New York-based Baach reports to UMRG senior VP of operations/CFO David Ellner. In his new position, Baach will oversee UMG’s new media department, working on digital business development for the label group. He will also coordinate business activities with UMG’s eLabs and IT and artist division.
Baach has been part of the UMG family since 2001. He has also worked in IT at Time Warner, the United Nations and the national Academy of Sciences/National Research Council.
