Government minister Margaret Hodge and Beggars Group chairman Martin Mills will be among the panellists at AIM’s Investing in Music discussion being held Jan. 10 in London.
The U.K. independent sector’s trade body is hosting the invite-only event, which will address the issue of attracting finance for new music businesses.
Creative Industries minister Hodge will join panellists including producer Steve Levine, London-based indie label Moshi Moshi’s founder Stephen Bass and Stephen Navin, CEO of the Music Publishers Association.
“AIM has organised this one-off event to bring together young entrepreneurs and experienced industry practitioners with representatives from government, public and private funding bodies, to discuss the investment opportunities in the vibrant independent sector,” says AIM chairman and chief executive Alison Wenham in a statement.
