Apple’s U.K. iTunes store has made HBO’s TV shows available for download for the first time in the U.K.
Emmy Award-winning shows “The Sopranos” and “Sex And The City” are available, while current episodes of “The Wire” and “Entourage” can be purchased the day after U.K. broadcast. Individual episodes cost £1.89 each ($3.38).
“This is the first time HBO has made its award-winning content available digitally in the U.K. and we’re delighted to bring it to the world’s most popular online TV store,” said director of iTunes Europe Oliver Schusser in a statment. “Particularly we think people are going to love the opportunity to download episodes from the current series of ‘Entourage’ and ‘The Wire’ the morning after they premiere on U.K. TV.”
