The Official U.K. Charts Company (OCC) has appointed Meriel Blackburn to be the new head of chart operations. She reports to Omar Maskatiya, OCC chart director, and replaces Paul Want, who leaves the company at the end of this month (July).
She will be “responsible for the day-to-day running of all OCC charts and data services, and leads all major projects focused on developing new reports and analyses for our record company and video company clients,” Maskatiya says.
Blackburn was formerly head of data management at U.K. collection society the MCPS-PRS Alliance.
And her previous experiences include working on the compilation of various charts and handling media research at MRIB, the U.K. media and entertainment research organization.
