UG Strategies, a multi-platform entertainment marketing firm, has acquired Magnum PR, a New York-based publicity, events, and artist development agency founded by Sioux Zimmerman (a.k.a SiouxZ). Effective immediately, Zimmerman will serve as UG Strategies’ SVP of the new publicity and media relations division
Launched in 2003, UGS clients span music, film, television, fashion, technology, and consumer products. According to its website, the firm’s clientele includes record labels (Astralwerks, Atlantic, Universal, Epic), music festivals (Bonnaroo, EDC, Governor’s Ball), consumer brands (Armani Exchange, Citi, Nintendo), film & television (“Family Guy,” “Glee,” HBO, Weinstein Company) and much more.
For two decades Magnum PR has built up an impressive international roster working with clients that have included: Nine Inch Nails, Portishead, Calvin Harris, DJ Shadow, Marilyn Manson, Avicii, The Prodigy, The Damned, Axwell^Ingrosso, Underworld, Orbital, Daft Punk, Moby, The Chemical Brothers, Yoko Ono, The Glitch Mob, Brian Jonestown Massacre and Pretty Lights. Additionally, the firm has represented Disco Donnie Presents and Moog Music and Moogfest.
Magnum PR clients will now be served via UGS.

Previous to Magnum PR, Zimmerman was the proprietor of Formula PR which launched in 1989 and was one of the first independent U.S. dance music-oriented PR firms. The company’s client list initially would include FFRR Records whose roster included Goldie, Portishead and Orbital. Formula also worked on campaigns for the following artists: Aphex Twin, Basement Jaxx, Sparks, Avalanches, Aphrodite, The Cramps, Grandmaster Flash, Jeff Mills, King Britt, Carl Cox, The Verve, Armand Van Helden, Crystal Method, The Orb, Richie Hawtin, Sasha and John Digweed, Primal Scream, Ian Brown, Junior Boys Own and Leftfield among others
SiouxZ also worked as a music supervisor on Darren Aronofsky’s film PI which earned ‘Best Director’ honors at Sundance. She also did press for a number of music inspired-movies, including 24 Hour Party People, Lost Highway, Groove, DIG! and (and Ex Machina).
Prior to Formula, Zimmerman worked at “Night Flight” on USA Networks and TVT Records where she began her career in publicity.
