
Two new U2 tracks will be released on exclusive 10″ vinyl as part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday this Nov. 29, according to the Record Store Day Website.
The songs “Ordinary Love” was written for the upcoming film “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” which also comes out on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving that traditionally marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping rush. The single’s B-side is a newly recorded version of the song “Breathe,” which appeared on the band’s 2009 album ‘No Line on the Horizon.’

The vinyl will only be pressed as a limited edition run of 10,000, according to Modern Vinyl.
U2’s website explained that the band, who are friends with Nelson Mandela, were inspired to write the music after seeing early cuts of the film which stars Idris Elba and Naomie Harris and is directed by Justin Chadwick.
