Remember when Tyler, The Creator and Zayn Malik made plans to hit the studio together? Apparently Zayn forgot all about it.
Tyler reached out to the British singer last year with a proposal to make “epic album cuts.” Zayn said he was in (his precise response was “sounds sick BRO let do some shit”).

Fast forward eight months and the get-together still hasn’t happened. Tyler tweeted his potential collaborator “flaked on studio sessions twice,” though it didn’t stop the rapper cutting his own, edgier remix of Zayn’s “Pillowtalk” back in February.

Tyler shared the recording with a homemade clip of himself mucking about, accompanied with the confession, “I HAD NO ART TO GO ALONG WITH THIS SO I RECORDED MYSELF DANCING TO IT. THEY MIGHT TAKE THIS DOWN.”
Zayn’s ‘Pillowtalk’ Debuts at No. 1 on Hot 100
Perhaps the former One Direction singer had too much on his mind at the time with his debut album, Mind of Mine, for which “Pillowtalk” was the lead single. Or maybe he was just enjoying life as a sometimes-single multimillionaire pop superstar. Whatever, he’s yet to offer an excuse for his no-show.
