UPDATE: The band’s keyboardist Wynne Bennett posted the following message to her Facebook page: “As some of you might have heard, our tour bus was involved in an accident. We are banged up but alive and in good spirits. Thank you all for your loving and thoughtful messages.”
Indie rock group Twin Shadow’s tour bus crashed on an interstate highway in Colorado early Friday morning (Apr. 17), with multiple vehicles involved in the accident and multiple injuries reported.
According to the The Denver Post, the accident involved two buses, two semi-tractor trailers and a motor home in I-70 near Aurora, Colo. The Colorado State Patrol reports that 12 people received minor to serious injuries in the crash, although the victims’ identities and further details on their injuries are not yet available.
Denver Post reporter Jesse Aaron Paul posted on Twitter, “The band’s crew was in the bus most seriously involved, [Trooper Josh] Lewis said. Twin Shadows was on a second bus nobody in which was taken to hospital.”

Twin Shadow performed in Lawrence, Kan. on Thursday night, and were scheduled to perform at the Bluebird Theater in Denver on Friday night. Dense fog, heavy rain and snow may have played factors in the accident, reported the state patrol.
The Brooklyn-based indie group released their new album Eclipse last month. A rep for the band did not have further detail on the band’s injury status.
