The Trevor Project’s annual TrevorLIVE gala, a night of music and comedy set for Dec. 3 in Los Angeles, will be headlined by Garbage and Broadway star Shoshana Bean (Hairspray, Wicked, Funny Girl, Beaches).
“We are extremely honored to be performing at this year’s TrevorLIVE LA and [to] participate in raising awareness and funds for a cause we all as a band feel strongly about,” Garbage’s Shirley Manson says in a statement. “Regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other factor, we believe every person should be treated with respect and compassion. Every individual has the right to live their life truthfully and authentically without the fear of being bullied or judged, and we are proud to stand together with The Trevor Project in this fight.”
Tom Ford, Kristin Chenoweth, Neon Trees, Armie Hammer, Gina Rodriguez, Trace Lysette, Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds, Carol Burnett and more are expected to attend the fundraiser at the Beverly Hilton, where Ford will receive the Hero Award and Chenoweth will be honored with the Icon Award.
The event benefits The Trevor Project, a nonprofit organization that focuses on preventing suicide among LGBTQ youth. Global queer streaming service Revry TV will live stream the red carpet arrivals at TrevorLIVE.
Neon Trees will be playing the official TrevorLIVE after-party this year.
