Toro Y Moi’s Chaz Bundick is the latest to join NPR for a Tiny Desk performance, and this time, the artist and a line of musicians stripped back four cuts from the acclaimed Outer Peace record.
Toro Y Moi removed all the auto-tune and electronics, and gave acoustic versions of “Laws of the Universe,” “New House,” “Freelance” and “Ordinary Pleasure.”
“This record is a response to how disposable culture has become and how it affects creativity,” Moi previously said of Outer Peace. “While listening, you might pay attention or ignore — either way that’s ok, this is music for a creative mind.”
