If you’re one of the many Americans who tune into Jimmy Fallon’s take on The Tonight Show, you probably know the epic game “Wheel of Musical Impressions,” where his guests sing a song that’s randomly matched with an artist by the famed wheel. Most of these impressions are great, but a few stand above the rest. These are our favorite musical impersonations from The Tonight Show, ranging from Maroon 5 star Adam Levine to pop goddess Ariana Grande. Check them out below.
Watch Celine Dion Impersonate Cher, Rihanna & More on ‘Tonight Show’
1. Celine Dion hysterically switched up the lyrics of Rihanna’s “Work” song to match those of “Row Row Row Your Boat.” She even did a slow, Rihanna-like hip rotation, only to be reprimanded by Fallon because “there are children watching!”
2. Adam Levine took on a Michael Jackson impression of the Sesame Street theme song. Though he was a little nervous at first, he quickly regained his composure, cooing “Won’t you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?” Good save, Levine.
3. Christina Aguilera killed it with her Britney Spears impression of “This Little Piggy,” perfectly capturing Spears’ distinctive, breathy voice.
4. On that note, Ariana Grande could have easily passed for Aguilera herself with her rendition of “The Wheels On The Bus,” turning this simple children’s song into a grade A musical masterpiece.
5. Lastly, Demi Lovato miraculously merged Fetty Wap’s classic “Trap Queen” tune with the lyrics of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” Who knew such an innocent song could sound so dirty?
