Following Cardi B’s viral rant on the month-long government shutdown, the rapper got into a heated tiff with conservative political commentator Tomi Lahren on Twitter, leading to Cardi saying she would “dog walk” Lahren. The commentator recently appeared on Fox News to share her thoughts on the feud.
“To put it pretty simply, I saw the video that she had posted and I implied that maybe Cardi B isn’t the person we should be taking our political advice from, and it took her a few days but she responded,” the commentator explained. “Instead of arguing about the merits of her political argument, she said she was going to ‘dog walk’ me and viewers can look up on Urban Dictionary what ‘dog walking’ someone means. But, the point simply is to severely beat someone up.”
When the host mentioned Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ support of Cardi, Lahren said it’s a “double standard all day long,” because the Congresswoman “on an almost daily basis says that Trump supporters and President Trump himself incite violence and then she goes and applauds and encourages a tweet by a rapper who threatens physical violence against me.”
“Could you imagine if I threatened to dog walk Cardi B or anyone else for that matter as a conservative, as a Trump supporter?” she continued. “I would never get away with that, but they’re able to do it, and the left applauds it.”
