U.K. singer-songwriter Tom Odell will bring his Jubilee Road Tour to Shanghai for two shows on March 22 and 23 at Bandai Namco Shanghai Base Dream Hall. He will also perform in Hong Kong for the first time and will travel to Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok and Singapore as well.
This will be Odell’s third China tour. He debuted in China in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen in November 2014, then returned after three years with his Come Back Tour to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Chengdu in August 2017.
Tom Odell’s debut album, Long Way Down (2013), topped the charts in the U.K., on the back of his breakthrough smash, “Another Love,” and by late 2014, he was in the Top 10 again with a cover of The Beatles’ “Real Love,” recorded for John Lewis’ Christmas ad campaign. With standout tracks such as “Grow Old With Me,” “Heal” and “Can’t Pretend,” public affection for Odell and his emotional way with a tune deepened.
Odell’s second LP, Wrong Crowd, replicated its predecessor’s success, hitting No. 2 in 2016, with another biggie aboard in “Magnetised.” Still only 27, he has struck again with his third, Jubilee Road, a career-defining record that sees the multi-talented young artist take full control of his music, not only writing, singing, and vamping up his vibrant piano style on all 10 songs, but also self-producing them.
