Mac Miller was 26 when he died Friday of an apparent drug overdose. In the days following, fans and fellow musicians have flooded the Internet with kind-hearted remembrances and emotional eulogies. His influence spanned genres and tastes, ages and styles, and U.K. alt-jazz indie man Tom Misch is the latest to offer “one for Mac.”
A gifted guitarist, Misch posted a clip of himself laying sweet licks over Miller’s “What’s the Use,” a cut from his recently released LP Swimming. The original beat fits well into Misch’s own catalog. If you’ve heard his tracks, like “Lost in Paris” or “South of the River,” you’ll catch a similar vibe.
Misch posted the beautiful musical moment in a video on Twitter. Check it out below.
