TOKiMONSTA curated a special compilation of sounds from producers she thinks are poised to take over the scene, but she doesn’t want you to just take her word for it. The Grammy-nominated artist and L.A. beat queen wants you to feel that magic in the air, so, she’s taking her label’s Young Art Sound II show on the road with an intimate tour of North America, kicking off at New York’s Elsewhere Rooftop Friday, June 7 and running through a stop at Electric Forest Saturday, June 29.
The Young Art Sound II compilation is out Wednesday, May 3, and features new tracks from TOKiMONSTA as well as Robotaki, Manila Killa, Ryan Playground, and MNDR. It includes a song called “High Hopes” by Rosehardt, someone the Billboard cover star believes in immensly. She chose that track to remix during her recent visit to Red Bull’s Remix Lab in California.
In the two-hour video clip, hosted by Anna Lunoe, TOKiMONSTA explains that, when remixing a song, she abandons all instrumentals and focuses on vocals only. This allows TOKiMONSTA to really give the tune her signature spin.
It’s a really cool video sure to tickly your nerd bone, and of course, it finishes with the complete TOKiMONSTA “High Hopes” Remix. Tickets for the Young Art Sound II Tour are available online. Check the full list of tour dates and watch TOKiMONSTA and Lunoe in the Red Bull Remix Lab below.
