Todd Rundgren will perform his 1973 album “A Wizard, A True Star” in its entirety live for the first time in the U.K.
The concert will take place at London’s HMV Hammersmith Apollo on Feb. 6, 2010 and will be Rundgren’s only U.K. performance of the album set, which is widely hailed by fans and critics as a psychedelic progressive rock classic. The first half of the live show will see Rundgren perform a selection of his most popular material while the second half will consist entirely of “A Wizard, A True Star.”
“A Wizard, A True Star” was first released in 1973 as the follow-up to Rundgren’s breakthrough 1972 album “Something/Anything.”
The artist will perform the entire “A Wizard” album live for the first time on Sept. 6 2009 in Akron, OH. No further dates have been announced.
