What began as a car ride to see the fireworks on Fourth of July almost ended in tragedy for Toby Keith‘s daughter Krystal and her family.
The “Daddy Dance With Me” singer shared a photo of the family’s smashed Mercedes-Benz SUV on Instagram Friday morning (July 7), explaining in the caption that she and her husband, Andrew Robert Sandubrae, and their daughter Hensley were hit by a drunk driver on their way to watch fireworks.
“We all survived the wreck, but it’s gonna take some time to heal,” Krystal wrote in the caption. “Keep us in your prayers. Hug your babies and spouses tight.”
Krystal ended the post with a straightforward message urging others not to drive under the influence.
“DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE,” she wrote in all caps.
