Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Antebellum, Skillet, Aloe Blacc and Dierks Bentley are among the artists who have recorded new songs for the soundtrack to The Shack.
The movie, which stars Octavia Spencer and Sam Worthington, is based on the William P. Young’s 2007 New York Times best-selling Christian novel about a father’s spiritual journey after the death of a child.
The soundtrack, out on Atlantic Feb. 24, features 14 original, exclusive songs, including a new McGraw and Hill duet, “Keep Your Eyes On Me,” as well as the new single from Dan + Shay, “When I Pray For You.” Clarkson and Blacc duet on “Love Goes On.”

Atlantic Records president of film and television Kevin Weaver, who coordinated the soundtrack, thinks the movie’s appeal could be even wider than the book, which he says has sold 20 million copies around the world.
“I compare this to The Fault in our Stars. That was a very popular young adult book and they made a movie that played wider than the core demo,” he tells Billboard. “I think Lionsgate has done the same thing.”
The Shack opens theatrically March 3.
Weaver partnered with Warner Nashville for the Dan + Shay single, while Word is his partner for the Christian side.
