Tiësto is giving aspiring DJs a shot to learn what it takes to be a star.
In partnership with 7UP, the Dutch star will bring Australian DJ competition Your Shot to the United States this year in the form of a 10-part web series on Vevo.
Exclusive: Hardwell & Tiësto Talk Fame and Friendship
The six-week series will follow 30 aspiring DJs through comprehensive training and competitions to win a chance to perform with Tiësto in Las Vegas and on 7UP’s Stage 7 at next year’s Ultra Music Festival.
“It takes the idea of the DJ competition and turns it on its head,” says Tiësto. “This contest really provides aspiring DJs with an opportunity to realize their dreams. Many times people don’t know how or where to get started with DJ’ing, but the great thing about Your Shot is that, win or lose, they get a platform to learn, grow and achieve great things as long as they are focused and dedicated.”

Your Shot launched in Australia six years ago, where its contest entries have exceeded the likes of fellow reality shows Australian Idol and X Factor. Trium Entertainment will produce its American edition.
