2000 – Filmmaker George Lucas’ Lucasfilm Ltd. files a copyright and trademark infringement lawsuit against artist Dr. Dre, his Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records. The suit claims that the rapper used Lucasfilm’s trademarked “THX Deep Note” sound to open his current album “Dr. Dre _ 2001” without Lucasfilm’s permission.
1999 – The body of Tammy Wynette is exhumed and an autopsy performed in Nashville at the request of Wynette’s husband George Richey.
