Her biggest hits are the million-sellers “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “From a Distance.” She is nominated for an Oscar in 1979 for “The Rose” and appears in such films as “Outrageous Fortune,” “Down and Out in Beverly Hills” and “Beaches.”
