Tracks by contemporary country icons such as Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Travis Tritt, LeAnn Rimes and Lonestar fill the forthcoming compilation “Totally Country 3.” Due Sept. 23 from BMG/Sony Music/Warner Music Group, the latest volume in the series features 17 tracks, including cuts by Montgomery Gentry, Rascal Flatts and Phil Vassar.
Six of the songs on the collection reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart: McGraw’s “Unbroken,” Randy Travis’ “Three Wooden Crosses,” Martina McBride’s “Blessed,” Diamond Rio’s “Beautiful Mess” and Blake Shelton’s “The Baby.” Four more reached the top-5 of the tally: Montgomery Gentry’s “Speed” (No. 5), Rascal Flatts’ “Love You Out Loud” (No. 3), Lonestar’s “Not a Day Goes By” (No. 3) and Vassar’s “American Child” (No. 5).
Released in May 2002, the inaugural edition of the series, “Totally Country: 17 New Chart-Topping Hits,” reached No. 11 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
